A few months ago, we began acquiring used whiskey barrels from our friends at Leopold Bros and Peach Street Distillery. These barrels were freshly dumped barrels that had previously held delicious, small-batch whiskey; the Leopold Bros barrels still contained a bit of whiskey and we didn't dump it, but chose to incorporate more whiskey flavor by integrating the two. Now, after letting a few of our beers rest in these oak barrels for the perfect amount of time, we are ready to start sharing our creations.
In the words of Johnny Cash - "what's been done in the dark will be brought to the light."
