BSB Red Ale is BACK!!!

We have been working our asses off to get all of the regular lineup back on tap and this includes our BSB Red Ale - the beer that could be considered our "flagship" beer if we were into that sort of thing. The BSB Red Ale has been out for over a month now, sadly, but it is back on tap and tasting better than it ever has before! It's signature caramel and toffee backbone play host to a bright citrus note and floral undertone that make this beer dynamic, refreshing, complex, and incredibly well-balanced. We are extremely proud of this beer and so happy that it is back! Hope to see you!

A Note About Parking...

A note about parking - please use the lot on the SW corner of 38th and Walnut (access through the alley behind the brewery) as well as the NORTH side of the Walnut Liquors parking lot. If you park on the SOUTH side of the Walnut Liquors lot (next to Walnut Liquors) you will be towed. If the lots are full, please park on Blake St. We would love to see you use the bicycle rack, walk over, ride your skateboard, or use public transportation as well. Cheers!

Valentine's Day 2013...

We are teaming up with Ritual Chocolate of Denver to create an incredible beer and dessert pairing for Valentine's Day. This will be your only chance to drink this amazing beer! You must have the beer and dessert combination - as one cannot be ordered without the other. Trust us, you'll be glad you did!

Chai Red Porter Ice Cream | Baloa Chocolate | Cinnamon Red Porter Caramel

The ice cream was made by Jaime Boyko of Ghost Plate and Tap, chocolate is from Ritual Chocolate, caramel made in-house. This will be paired with our Chai Red Porter for $9.

Red Porter...Revisioned...

Today we are brewing the newest version of our Red Porter. It will be quite a bit different from the original - not that it was bad, in fact, it was damn delicious. We just find ourselves in the constant pursuit of perfection!

5280 The Ultimate Guide to Craft Beer In Denver

Black Shirt Brewing Co

Walking into Black Shirt feels like being let in on a secret. Craft brew connoisseurs will dig the taproom: From the filament light bulbs and custom glassware to the bar and tabletops, which are made from reclaimed train-car floors, Black Shirt feels like our version of the perfect place to drink a few small-batch beers. The four-month-old brewery only makes red ales, which may sound unnecessarily restrictive, but head brewer Branden Miller has done remarkable things with the typically malt-focused beverage.
